4 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO WHEN AN INJURY OCCURS

Breathe

Stop, breathe, take a moment. No matter the journey, setbacks are bound to happen. You must remember this, and view the situation with a growth mindset. You will not be in this position forever, you will recover, you will get back to your training!

Drop the Ego

Depending on the severity of the injury, you might have to strip the weight, or regress the exercise to one that is pain-free. Regress to progress, and come back even stronger!

Have Patience

You must have patience! Some injuries can take a long period of hard work and dedication every day to recover. Be committed to removing the pain for good, and maintaining pain-free living.

Invest

Invest in a health practitioner or coach who aligns with your values and goals. One who can get you back into your training, instead of telling you to stop training altogether. There’s always something you can do, and movement is medicine.

If you don’t make time to work on the life you want, you’ll be forced to live a life you don’t want.
